This project is a Unity WebGL-based virtual experience, where optimization was the top priority to ensure high performance while maintaining realism. It was a government project for the Ministry of Tourism in Saudi Arabia, with the client requesting a visually realistic experience that runs smoothly on the web.
The experience consists of three main environments: the Main Lobby, the Business Networking space, and the Marketplace (Bujairi Terrace). I was responsible for all 3D and visual design, creating fully realized, optimized, and immersive environments, as well as designing the avatars and their customizable clothing.

The main lobby is the starting point of the experience, divided into five zones representing Saudi Arabia’s regions: Jeddah, AlUla, Al Jouf, Dammam, and Al Ahsa, roughly arranged like a map. The central area, shaped like the map of Saudi Arabia, houses the reception desk with AI NPC. From here, visitors can access two other environments: the Marketplace and the Business Network.
The Business Networking environment is designed as a virtual meeting space for professionals. Visitors can sit at tables and start group chats, or step outside to stream presentations and speak from a podium to an audience. In the future, the space will also display various financial charts, stock diagrams, and other data visualizations. The entire design was created by me, focusing on functionality, interaction, and professional engagement in the metaverse.
This environment is a digital twin of Bujairi Terrace in Riyadh, created using my own photos and Google Maps references. The space features various restaurants, allowing visitors in the metaverse to view menus, make table reservations, and, most importantly, experience the atmosphere of the location virtually.
The Bujairi Terrace Carousel is one of the key attractions of the environment. It showcases the high-poly and low-poly models with textures and wireframes. The entire asset is highly optimized and runs smoothly on WebGL, demonstrating both visual quality and technical efficiency.
The avatars were created in Character Creator 4, with some outfits designed in Marvelous Designer and Blender. All assets are highly optimized for WebGL, ensuring smooth performance while maintaining visual quality and realism.
